Gate of Hope Charity Foundation, in collaboration with Shafaq Social Service & Welfare Organization, organized practical garment measuring and sewing training to strengthen tailoring students' skills and livelihood opportunities.
Gate of Hope Charity Foundation organized a garment measuring and sewing training program for tailoring students in collaboration with Shafaq Social Service & Welfare Organization. The initiative provided a supportive learning environment where students could build practical skills for producing well-fitted garments.
During the training, students learned essential measuring techniques, including how to take accurate body measurements and apply them when preparing fabric. Careful measurement is a foundation of quality tailoring, helping learners improve garment fit, reduce material waste, and work with greater confidence.
The sewing component connected this knowledge with hands-on practice. Students explored garment preparation and construction while receiving guidance designed to strengthen precision, consistency, and safe working habits in a tailoring environment.
Tailoring skills can open pathways to income, self-reliance, and small-business opportunities. Through this collaboration, Gate of Hope Charity Foundation and Shafaq Social Service & Welfare Organization are helping students develop useful vocational abilities that can support their families and contribute to their communities.
