Under the Gate of Hope Charity Foundation banner, a young Afghan girl received her school backpack and certificate directly from a senior GOH representative — surrounded by children who watched and waited for theirs.
She stepped forward, hands reaching out, and received two things at once: a bright pink school backpack packed with supplies, and a certificate bearing the Gate of Hope seal. Behind the Gate of Hope Charity Foundation banner, a group of Afghan children watched the handover — each one waiting their turn, each one about to be better equipped for school than they were an hour before.
A school backpack is more than a bag. For an Afghan child — especially a girl — it is a signal of intention: that someone believes she belongs in school, that her education is worth investing in, and that she has what she needs to show up and participate. Gate of Hope's backpack distribution programme puts that signal into tangible form, delivering fully stocked bags directly into children's hands at formal events that treat their education as the serious matter it is.
The certificate accompanying each backpack is equally deliberate. It records the child's name, the event, and Gate of Hope's commitment — creating a documented moment that families can hold on to. In communities where children's needs are routinely overlooked, being named and recognised in an official document carries real weight.
Gate of Hope thanks every donor who made this distribution possible. School backpacks, stationery, and supplies are among the most direct investments you can make in an Afghan child's future.
